Financial reporting
Core engine builtFinancial reports that always tie to the ledger
Finovra builds every report from posted journal entries, so the trial balance, income statement and account detail always agree with each other. The reporting core is built and tested in our development environment; customer accounts are not open yet.
Reports and their status

| Account activity | Opening balance, each posted line with a running balance, and closing balance | Built in the API and app |
| Balance sheet | Assets, liabilities and equity as of a date | Built in the engine; not yet in the app |
| Cash flow statement | Operating, investing and financing cash flows | Planned |
| Consolidated reports | Several entities combined, with eliminations | Planned |
Why the numbers agree
Core engine builtOne source
Every report reads the same posted entries. There is no separate reporting copy to drift out of sync.
Posted entries only
Drafts awaiting approval never appear in reported figures.
Drill-down
Each figure opens to its account activity and from there to the journal entries behind it.
Any date
Run the trial balance as of any date and the income statement for any range.
Exact amounts
Totals are summed in integer cents, so rounding can't create a difference.
Next in reporting
In developmentBalance sheet in the app
The engine already computes it; the screen and API endpoint come next.
Comparative periods
This month against last month or last year, side by side.
Exports
CSV and spreadsheet exports for auditors and advisors.
Dimensions
Reporting by department, location or project once line tags ship.

We'll run a trial balance and income statement and drill into the entries behind them.
